Introduction

When companies down-size or re-size to meet new economic challenges, stark implications abound internally especially on the employee's sense of job and financial insecurity. In this respect, employers are increasingly including outplacement skills training into their redundancy packages to help ease the process of redundancy for departing employees so as to help them find new employments.

Outplacement training provides the necessary skills for outgoing employees to prepare for a new employment elsewhere. It helps to ease some of that anxiety and fear, reducing the trauma job loss. This workshop is designed to help companies help their outgoing employees to acquire job hunting skills, providing outgoing employees with the appropriate skills and advice to continue their working lives.
